Fourth Anniversary of Obamacare

Article by Patrick Howley

Sunday marks the fourth anniversary of Obamacare’s signing on March 23, 2010. Democratic Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy said that at this point Democrats “have a really good story to tell.” But Americans outside of Washington, D.C. are also telling their own stories about the health care law.
To commemorate the anniversary, Republican Ohio Rep. Bob Gibbs this week asked people on his Facebook page to share how “this law has impacted your life.” A few of the answers to Gibbs’ question are presented below.

Please mark this anniversary by sharing your own stories about Obamacare impact in the Comments section. The president might not see them, and the mainstream media sure won’t report on them, but we will.

“My Premiums have gone up around 20% a year, my deductible has gone up by $6000 (not a typo). My wife had to change her doctor, I was unable to keep the plan I liked because my company didn’t want to pay a ‘luxury tax’. We’re still waiting to see if my children have to change pediatricians. Small businesses are being decimated in my area, in part because of this and in part because of the lack of a coherent economic policy. I had to have some tires put on a my car the other day and the mechanic was saying that things haven’t been this bad since 1981…you know, when President Carter had just completed his term and President Reagan took on that mess. We need that kind of leadership now.”
I am self-employed who was previously uninsured. I now have an ACA-approved plan which will take up to 20% of my gross income. I have medical issues which also took a big chunk of my income while being uninsured and simply paying cash. They talk about insurance premiums rising next year, which will be 30% of my income? How much is too much? HB 2900 would be a step in the right direction.”
“I am self employed, and because of Obamacare my premiums went from $265 to $615. I could not afford those premiums, so I am now with a Christian healthcare organization. Please do everything you can to repeal this horrible law, Congressman.”

“Forcing friends to pay penalties. Staples President/Chairman Ron Sergeant sent memo to employees 4 Jan 2014 saying his company refuses to pay workers healthcare. My brother/ Sister-in – Law choose between healthcare or food. Thank God I’m 100% Military/Security Disabled. Medicare Parts A/B Tricare For Life.”
“We cant afford it so my wife has insurance on herself, the kids are on medicate, and I get mine through the VA. If everyone medical is going to be like the VA, just give everyone heads up you need to find your grave site. The VA doctors just want a be doctors. They are horrable. You got to wait 3mo. to a year to see them. I have a medical condition that I had for over ten yrs. and they still don’t know what is wrong.”

“$400 a month is more than I can afford.”
“You know the insurance that was supposed to be so good, our insurance will not renew ours and so we have to hunt for something else. We refused to go with obama care April 1st is the last to be insured. So thanks mr. obama, all small letters, just does not deserve to have any capital letters, no respect for him at all.”
“I am more concerned with how it is going to affect my future with medicare. There is a lot of talk about increasing the amount paid by us and with no increase in social security to cover these increases. How am I going to cover my medical expenses? We are being punished because we are aging by those who say they are protecting us. Why are the elderly being left behind to pay for people who do not support themselves? I paid my dues and my tax and am suffering for that.”

Obama administration cutting aid on a poor country

Can you believe that our country is trying to push the gay agenda on other countries?!!  That is not our place.

Article by Neil Munro "Obama pressures Uganda to repeal anti-gay law"

President Barack Obama is cutting U.S. aid for the poor African country of Uganda and blocking a health survey, because its elected government signed a popular and harsh law against homosexual conduct.
The punishment was revealed in the 12th paragraph of a Washington Post story about an expensive new effort to track down a roving warlord near northern Uganda.  The penalty spotlights the administration’s top-level and hard-edged effort to punish countries that disagree with its gay rights agenda.

“We need you to combat restrictions… [and] in countries transitioning to democracy, we must help them navigate the difficult choices they must make, without dictating the outcomes,” National Security Adviser Susan Rice told an D.C. assembly of senior U.S. diplomats in March. (RELATED: Forget Ukraine: Gay rights are Obama’s foreign policy priority)
The cuts are part of an ambitious foreign policy effort to rapidly elevate the status of gays in Africa and in other continents.
For example, shortly before the Russian government decided to seize the Crimea, Obama repeatedly urged the Russian parliament to reverse its popular law barring advocacy of Western-style gay rights.
“Nobody’s more offended than me about some of the anti-gay and lesbian legislation that you’ve been seeing in Russia,” Obama said.
The Russian law was intended to boost Russia’s shrinking population, which is expected to drop from roughly 140 million to 120 million by 2050. In contrast, the populations of China and the Muslim countries to Russia’s East and South are rising.

The White House has not repeated those novel demands since the Ukraine crisis began.
Uganda is a very different target, partly because it gets roughly $400 million in U.S. aid each year.
The poor country’s government signed a long-debated law Feb. 24, which imposed a very harsh penalty of life imprisonment for homosexual behavior. Ugandan officials said the White House’s heavy-handed opposition to the law increased public support for the measure.
The quick cuts include $6.4 million from the Interreligious Council of Uganda, and the transfer of $3 million for tourism and environmental protection from the Ugandan government to approved nongovernmental organizations.
A survey designed to minimize the spread of the lethal AIDS disease was also blocked, because “we think proceeding could cause danger to staff and respondents,” claimed Grant Harris, senior African affairs director for the National Security Council, and a special assistant to Obama.
“We are continuing to look at additional steps we might take,” Harris told The Washington Post, and “continue to urge Uganda to repeal the law.”
Obama’s elevation of gay rights to a central policy goal also includes a demand of legal recognition and protections for the few people who want to live as members of the opposite sex.
Domestic politics may a play a role. In 2012, Obama’s fundraising was boosted by wealthy gays after he endorsed a legal redefinition of marriage that would shift its focus from aiding childrearing towards promoting companionship for adults, including childless or single-sex couples.

Rubio tells what Cuba really is

Article by Courtney Coren
"Angry Marco Rubio Blasts Harkin for Praising Cuba"

Harkin, an Iowa Democrat, visited Cuba for a week and returned with praise for the healthcare system, the infant mortality rate, the literacy rate there and baseball, among other things, which Rubio characterized as naive.

"I heard him also talk about these great doctors that they have in Cuba, and I have no doubt they're very talented; I've met a bunch of them," the Florida Republican said. "You know where I met them? In the United States, because they defected. Because, in Cuba, doctors would rather drive a taxicab or work in a hotel than be a doctor."

Rubio also addressed Cuba's "wonderful" literacy rate.

"Here's the problem," Rubio said. "They can only read censored stuff. They're not allowed access to the Internet ... It's great to have literacy, but if you don't have access to the information, what's the point of it?"

Rubio, whose parents are Cuban immigrants, also detailed Cuba's ties with terrorist nations and dictatorships around the world, including aid that it has offered to North Korea.

"Let me tell you what Cubans are really good at," Rubio continued. "What they're really good at is repression. What they're really good at is shutting off information to the Internet, and to radio and to television and social media ... And they're not just good at it domestically, they're good exporters of these things."

Rubio then described Cuba's ties and influence it has had on the protests currently going on in Venezuela, describing the officials there as "puppets of Havana, completely infiltrated by Cubans."

With the help of an aide, Rubio presented slides taken from the Venezuelan streets of government protestors being arrested, shot, and hit with water cannons, "because they are protesting the government."

"This is the government that the Cubans support, not just verbally, not just emotionally, but with training and tactics," he explained. "This is what they export ... Raul Castro announced that he's there to help them do whatever they need to help them do this."

Rubio continued to question the picture that Harkin painted of "what a paradise Cuba is."

"How come I never read about boatloads of refugees going to Cuba? Why have close to one and a half million people left Cuba to come here, but the only ones who leave here to move there are fugitives from the law and people who steal money from Medicare?"

Rubio referenced a poll that Harkin cited that "more Americans want normal relations with Cuba. So do I — a democratic and free Cuba."

"But you want us to reach out and develop friendly relationships with a serial violator of human rights, who supports what's going on in Venezuela and every other atrocities on the planet? On issue after issue, they are always on the side of the tyrants ... And this is who we should be opening up to — why don't they change?"

Rubio said he plans to present a measure to pursue sanctions against Venezuela.

"We, as the freest nation on earth, are looked to by people in [Venezuela] to stand by them in their moment of need, when they clamor for freedom and liberty and human rights. They look for America to be on their side," he said.

"I would suggest to my colleagues, the next time they go to Cuba, ask to meet with the Ladies in White. Ask to meet with Yoani Sanchez. Ask to meet with the dissidents and the human rights activists that are jailed and repressed and exiled," Rubio concluded. "Ask to meet with them. I bet you're going to hear something very different than what you got from your hosts on your last trip to the wonderful Cuba, this extraordinary socialist paradise. Because it's a joke. It's a farce."

Contraception key in climate change fight: Gore and Gates

This article written by Jeff Cox was very disturbing.  I cannot believe that these two people actually believe that having more children can cause global warming.  Read on:

Stopping overpopulation is one way the dangers of climate change can be mitigated, according to two of the most prominent believers in global warming.
Former Vice President Al Gore and Microsoft founder Bill Gates said at the World Economic Forum in Davos that contraception is a key in controlling the proliferation of unusual weather they say is endangering the world.
"Depressing the rate of child mortality, educating girls, empowering women and making fertility management ubiquitously available ... is crucial to the future shape of human civilization," said Gore, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 for his work on global warming....

[Gore also] made a pitch for birth control as a way to reduce excess population that generates pollution, which in turn creates unusual weather events.
"If you get the health improved, if you get the availability of contraceptives, then families will voluntarily choose to have less children," Gates said.
Both men spoke as the U.S. East Coast battles a brutally cold, snowy winter—while the weather at Davos, Switzerland, actually has been warmer than usual.

Lower the minimum wage

I have an idea about jobs.  Totally different then the democrats.  Be bold.  Say that we need to lower the minimum wage to $5.00 so that more people can get a job.  There would be so many people on the lower end getting jobs.  Statistics show that most of the CEO of companies started working at McDonalds.  ORielly asked Obama what he could do to help the black people.  I was appalled when Obama said that he was doing something.  He has given several speeches about what they could do.  Giving a speech is helping the black people?!?  That was so lame!  I suggest that lowering the minimum wage would help the young blacks and alot of other young people to get a job.  Then if they work hard (like Obama keeps saying )  they could get a raise, which would start them on the road to success, like Obama keeps saying we should all be able to achieve if we work hard.  That would create alot more jobs than raising the minimum age, which the CBO says it will lose about 1 million jobs.  So lets start creating jobs by lowering the minimun wage.

In a Nutshell

Pres. Harry S. Truman: The buck stops here.
Pres. John F. Kennedy: Ask not what your Country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your Country.
Pres. Ronald Reagan: Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.
Pres. Barak Obama: It's all Fox New's fault.
