another quote of the day
“The media isn’t just against me. They’re against all of you,” Trump said in St Augustine. “They’re against what we represent.”
Quote of the day
While Democrats perpetually circle the wagons,
Republicans engage a perpetual circular firing squad.
Why ‘Never Trumpers’ Should Reconsider
/by Matt Barber
While Democrats perpetually circle the wagons, Republicans engage a perpetual circular firing squad. The same holds true for many evangelicals. Democrats and secularists count on it.
And we never disappoint.
Full disclosure: I went from a dogged “Never Trumper” to a “Maybe Trumper,” and, finally, settled as a “Reluctant Trumper.” I, like any God-fearing father of daughters was, and remain, appalled by Donald Trump’s sordid past, and his 11-year-old vulgar video in which he objectified women. His words are indefensible and I fully expect the Clinton camp to strategically release additional revolting and embarrassing opposition research about the Republican nominee before election day.
Still, I will be voting against Hillary Clinton on Nov. 8 in what is objectively and irrefutably the most effective way possible: by casting a vote, for better or worse, for the policies and promises of Donald Trump — and for the vice presidency of Gov. Mike Pence.
Regrettably, with many of my Never Trump friends I’m reminded of the fanatic who refuses his daughter chemotherapy and watches her die in an effort to convince himself (and others) of the strength of his own faith. Pride is an awful thing. We are to be “wise as serpents and innocent as doves” (Matthew 10:16). Foolishness called “faith” is just foolishness.
Even so, there are Christian Pharisees on both extremes of this Trump fiasco: those Trumpian cultists who buy the “Make America great again!” pablum and deride any person who, while not casting judgment upon others, makes, with all sincerity, what they view as the principled decision. The latter say they’ll sit this one out (or go through the motions by voting third party — a wasted vote by any objective standard). While I appreciate this milder strain of Never Trumper’s sincerity, I nonetheless believe it is sincerely wrong.
And then there are the self-righteous, plank-in-the-eye Never Trump prigs who slander as having “lost their saltiness,” “sinned against God,” and “compromised their principles,” brothers and sisters who recognize the empirical reality that a vote for a horribly flawed (Lord knows I’m the worst sinner of all) baby Christian as president is a vote against Hillary Clinton’s tyranny in perpetuity.
Hillary and the Horror of Partial-Birth Abortion
The Media Research Center has done America a tremendous service. In 2014 the watchdog organization released a video of an actual partial birth abortion — something Hillary Clinton stood on stage during the final presidential debate, stared into the camera with cold, callous eyes, and then both lied about and defended unequivocally. I plead with Never Trumpers to watch the video and then prayerfully reassess their plans for Nov. 8.
Mrs. Clinton’s beloved late-term abortion practice is one so brutal and needless that even the left-leaning American Medical Association has admitted that it is dangerous to the mother and never necessary under any circumstances, not the least of which is for “the life or health of the mother.”
During a partial-birth abortion, the abortionist pulls a fully “viable” child — often kicking and thrashing — feet first from her mother’s womb, leaving only the top of her head in the birth canal. This is so the abortionist can technically claim to be performing an abortion, rather than committing murder.
He then stabs the child through the base of her skull with scissors, piercing her brain until her kicking and moving about suddenly and violently jerks to a halt. Next, he opens the scissors to enlarge the wound as blood and brainstem fluid gush down his hands, inserts a vacuum tube and sucks out her brains, thereby collapsing her skull.
Her now limp and lifeless body is then cast away like so much garbage.
This is homicide, plain and simple. Hillary Clinton supports it. Donald Trump opposes it.
We deserve God’s wrath and judgment as a nation for allowing this abortion holocaust to occur on our watch. In my estimation, Mrs. Clinton is a bloodthirsty monster who enthusiastically supports this barbarity. Her Supreme Court appointees will ensure that tens of millions of precious babies like the one in the video are murdered in the same brutal manner.
My conscience tells me that I must vote in such a way that exercising my civic duty will have the strongest net effect against Mrs. Clinton and ensure that she is stopped. She must not be elected president. To not vote — or to vote for a non-starter third party candidate, which is effectively the same thing — while not an actual vote for Mrs. Clinton, still puts this Mengele in a pantsuit one step closer to the White House and the Supreme Court.
It’s simple math and it’s undeniable. The most effective thing you can personally do as a citizen is to vote against Mrs. Clinton by voting for Mr. Trump. This does the most electoral damage possible to Candidate Clinton and offers the best chance for life that you can provide future generations.
With its 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, the U.S. Supreme Court put the government’s official stamp of approval on mass murder. Since then, the battle lines have been drawn. This is war. “Pro-choicers” are the bad guys and pro-lifers, the good guys. It really is that simple — that black and white. It’s good versus evil.
History will reflect as much.
Under a President Hillary Clinton, millions more babies will be tortured and dismembered alive. Under a President Donald Trump, these millions might live.
The Devil and Democrats: Oh, how they love derision and division within the body of Christ.

Prominent evangelical theologian Wayne Grudem reverses course, re-endorses Trump
This election season has been a confusing one for many prominent conservatives. House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) has attempted to walk a difficult and well-documented tightrope with respect to his relationship with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. Ryan is, however, by no means alone among Republicans who have sent mixed signals about their endorsement of Trump. For instance, Sen. Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) has, during the course of the last five months, endorsed Trump, then called for him to drop out, then endorsed him again.
Perhaps no one has publicly struggled with the decision of whether to back Trump more than prominent evangelical theologian Wayne Grudem. Grudem made news in July by writing a widely circulated column arguing that voting for Donald Trump was a “morally good choice.” Several weeks later, Grudem again made news by writing that he could no longer support Trump after the now-infamous “Access Hollywood” tapes were released, arguing that “I cannot commend Trump’s moral character, and I strongly urge him to withdraw from the election.”
Grudem is now back for a third try, and he has decided once again that supporting Trump is the right thing to do. According to Grudem:
Once I put the choice in those stark terms, there is a good way to make a decision. Since I find both candidates morally objectionable, I am back to the old-fashioned basis on which I have usually decided how to vote for my entire life: Whose policies are better? Do I agree more with Trump’s policies or with Clinton’s?It isn’t even close. I overwhelmingly support Trump’s policies and believe that Clinton’s policies will seriously damage the nation, perhaps forever. On the Supreme Court, abortion, religious liberty, sexual orientation regulations, taxes, economic growth, the minimum wage, school choice, Obamacare, protection from terrorists, immigration, the military, energy, and safety in our cities, I think Trump is far better than Clinton (see below for details).
Grudem expressly notes in his column that this might not be his final decision, stating, “A caution: There are still three weeks until the election. Given the questionable backgrounds of both candidates, there may still be another major ‘October surprise’ about either Trump or Clinton — or both.”

What One Woman Is Doing to Take Down Planned Parenthood
While Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, is celebrating its 100th anniversary Sunday, one organization is working tirelessly to put Planned Parenthood out of business.
CEO Brandi Swindell founded Stanton Healthcare in 2006. According to the Stanton Project’s website, it has branched out from a room in a doctor’s office to an international affiliate program.
Stanton Healthcare is a nonprofit medical facility that provides pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, client advocacy, and other life-affirming programs that respect the “dignity of both mother and child.”
‘Replace’ Planned Parenthood
“Planned Parenthood is coming up on their 100th anniversary and we are coming up on our 10th. We are looking to replace and outlast Planned Parenthood,” Swindell told The Daily Signal in a phone interview.
“I founded Stanton Healthcare in 2006,” said Swindell. “I had been doing pro-life work for 16 or 17 years prior and had worked on the national level and co-founded Generation Life.”
Swindell said the pro-life mission has been a driving force in her life, but a realization of the horror of abortion came during her college years.
“This cause has been a passion of mine. I was raised with an understanding of the dignity of human life. However, the realization of what abortion was really hit me in college when my roomate got pregnant and had an abortion,” Swindell said. “Through this I really understood what abortion was and that Planned Parenthood leaves a legacy of tragedy.”
In 2011, five years after opening her first office, Swindell opened another medical clinic, Stanton Healthcare Boise, next door to a Planned Parenthood clinic.
Swindell said that she faced opposition from Planned Parenthood immediately after opening Stanton Healthcare Boise.
“When we opened our doors in Boise, Planned Parenthood was not happy to see us there. We exposed their heart that they are not about true choice. Planned Parenthood claimed that we were violating HIPAA [Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act] laws and confidentiality,” Swindell said.
hen covering this confrontation, a reporter approached Swindell and asked to hear about Stanton Healthcare’s position on confidentiality and HIPAA.
“I showed the reporter a plaque prominently displayed on our waiting room office wall that says, ‘We voluntarily comply with HIPAA regulations.’ This claim from Planned Parenthood was comical because our stance in regards to both HIPAA and confidentiality was posted for all to see,” Swindell said.
A ‘Life-Affirming’ Clinic
Looking to expand Stanton Healthcare to other areas, the very first Stanton mobile unit opened in 2013, meeting the needs of women living in rural and immigrant communities throughout the state of Idaho. Modeled after the very first Stanton mobile unit, the Stanton Alabama mobile unit will soon be serving the communities of Birmingham.
Swindell established the Stanton International Affiliate Program in 2014 with the goal to reach as many women as possible with care that respects both mother and child.
The purpose of this program is to “replace abortion businesses around the world because we believe that women deserve access to quality, coercion-free cared, and compassionate alternatives to abortion,” according to the program’s website.
Along with the training center that Stanton Healthcare is working on establishing, it will also be opening a mega-center in Idaho where women can receive first-class care.
“Our center opening up in Meridian will be the first-ever life-affirming mega-clinic. We are also working on developing a Stanton Healthcare conference center where we will be training staff from across the country and around the world,” Swindell said.
Besides offering the typical services that clinics provide, Stanton Healthcare’s Meridian location will also be offering an 18-month support program that includes “options counseling, doctor referrals, parenting classes, practical support, and encouragement. Our clients and their babies get a chance at a brighter future.”
This 18-month support program is already offered at Stanton Healthcare Boise and will be expanded to all of Stanton’s affiliate clinics around the nation.
With these services available, Stanford Healthcare’s goal, according to its website, “is to be the first choice for every abortion vulnerable woman in Idaho and beyond.”
To Swindell, Stanton Healthcare is not only about providing quality health care to all women but also protecting and preserving human rights. She said:
I am primarily pro-life because I believe in human rights. Abortion has no business being in women’s health care. Planned Parenthood has sabotaged women’s health care. I founded Stanton Healthcare because I believe that Planned Parenthood has failed us and failed women.
A New Pro-Life Generation
Swindell believes that youth especially have a critical role to play in the pro-life movement.
“Stanton Healthcare has a heart for the emerging generation. Millennials are part of the Stanton revolution,” Swindell said. “We have students coming to us from across the nation that want to be part of the Stanton mission.”
The goal of Swindell and Stanton Healthcare is to reach all women with health care that respects both mother and child.
“Our goal at Stanton Healthcare is to be where Planned Parenthood is. We are setting up next to their clinics and are building a presence in Washington, D.C., and the U.N. We are the true, authentic genuine voice in women’s health care,” Swindell said.
“Women deserve better than the cold doors of an abortion facility. Pregnancy resource centers respect the dignity of every mother and child by empowering women facing difficult situations with life-affirming options,” said Melanie Israel, a research associate for the DeVos Center for Religion & Civil Society at The Heritage Foundation. comments from the web
I gave up on seeking moral leadership from the prez long ago. I want someone who will fight for America, NOT seek to destroy us.
Trump is a machismo fueled braggart, so what?Hildabeast is a destroyer of people, enabler of rapists, sell out to big business, globalist commie, hater of the working class, unrepentant liar, and traitor. A little locker room talk from Trump doesn’t bother me.
If I were hiring a detective to go undercover in the DEA, I’d need someone experienced with the seedy side. A choir boy ain’t gonna clean up DC.

As I stated on other boards….the left has coarsened the culture and dumbed it down to such an extent that Trump’s vulgarity is not a disqualifying factor for his candidacy.
Trump’s displays of machismo to his buddies will not affect his campaign in a credible way and his performance in the debate last night will raise his numbers in the polls. Hillary was her classic, shrill, stiff, phony self. She said she’d go high but went low. Trump in fact took the high road right at the end. People noticed.
In a sense the focus group is right…Trump’s chest-beating displays of machismo are not important compared to the reckless handling of sensitive government emails that Hillary displayed. It’s made worse by her swiftness in deleting thousands of emails while on subpoena from congress to present them. And I truly hope Trump keeps his promise and appoints a special prosecutor to put her in prison.
Double Standard
FROM DAILYJOT.COM:
“Let’s have a frank discussion about sex…and the election. In 1992, Jennifer Flowers saying she had a 12-year affair with Bill Clinton rocked the election. Clinton denied her claims, was later found to be lying about it and had to admit under oath that the two had sex. We all know that Clinton had a sex problem because that’s his legacy. Interesting, that his wife, now Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, stood by her man and was relatively quiet about all the accusations of abuse, rape, and affairs that followed her husband throughout his career. Even more interesting is her reaction to an 11 year old tape of Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump talking graphically about his “sexcapades.”

“Clinton tweeted: “This is horrific. We cannot allow this man to become president.” Meantime, Trump issued an apology, saying, “I’ve never said I’m a perfect person, nor pretended to be someone that I’m not. I’ve said and done things I regret, and the words released today on this more than a decade-old video are one of them. Anyone who knows me knows these words don’t reflect who I am. I said it, I was wrong, and I apologize… I’ve said some foolish things, but there’s a big difference between the words and actions of other people. Bill Clinton has actually abused women, and Hillary has bullied, attacked, shamed and intimidated his victims.” Trump’s got a point. Hillary is more outraged at Trump’s words than her husband’s actions. A double standard-one of great entitlement.“
“The Clinton’s lifetime body of work has been spent denying scandals, murders, selling influence, and a host of other things exposed from the dark secrecy of the Clinton dynasty. These actions are denied without apology. Those exposing them are ridiculed, harassed or worse. And the Clintons behave like victims. Trump also has had a number of scandals, but he owns up to them, says he’s not perfect, he was wrong, and apologizes. One of these people is going to be president. One blames others for their own scurrilous actions. One takes responsibility for his actions. Something to think about: Proverbs 28:13 says, “He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.”

America, You Have No Right to Judge Donald Trump

America, You Have No Right to Judge Donald Trump
BY D. C. MCALLISTER OCTOBER 8, 2016
The wizards of smarts in the political arena are telling us Donald Trump's campaign is over because of recently leaked tapes of a private conversation from 2005 that was disparaging to women. The comments are so offensive, they say, he’s not fit for office.
From the moment the tapes were made public, the drumbeat to Trump's personal walk of shame began. Politicians who formerly endorsed him fled in terror, not wanting the soiled stain of sexual stigma attached to them. NeverTrumpers descended in holier-than-thou glee as they declared how noble and right they've always been not to support such a despicable man. And the left has been howling like puritanical wolves, condemning him for his immorality and sexist treatment of women.
I find this reaction to Trump's private conversation rather ironic. It's ironic coming from a secular culture that long ago declared objective morality dead. It's ironic coming from politicos and media bottom-feeders who defended the abusive and disgusting behavior of Bill Clinton, not when he was a private citizen but when he was a sitting president.
No, the Trump Campaign Isn't Done For
It's ironic coming from a Republican political elite that has told its religious base that social and moral issues don't matter in politics. "It's all about the economy, stupid. Leave your morals in the church but don't voice them in the public square."
The creep of moral relativism in America has been steady for many decades, increasing in speed to the point that the "slouching toward Gomorrah" has become a sprint. The notion that there is objective truth or absolute morality has been universally panned to the point that everything is tolerated except standards of right and wrong. "Everyone decides for himself what is right, especially when it comes to sex" is the mantra of today's culture.
For years, Christians in particular have been attacked and silenced as they've tried to challenge the immorality that is pervasive in today's society. When they tell people casual sex is wrong, they get the inevitable, "You have no right to tell me what I can or can't do." If they oppose sexual immorality in any form, including adultery, they’re maligned as sanctimonious puritans by lovers of libertinism.
How ironic, then, that a culture which rejects moral standards has suddenly become so pure and pristine, sitting in judgment of someone they deem too immoral to become president because of something he said in private. As a logical person, I have to ask these paragons of newly found virtue where this standard by which they've judged Trump is found.
If morality is relative to each individual—a purely subjective experience—by what standard are they judging Trump? Obviously, in such a secular climate, there can’t even be a “standard.”
Why should anyone listen to people who out of one side of their mouths declare the death of objective moral standards yet out of the other condemn someone for violating objective moral standards?
Those who are complaining about Trump today have no basis for their moral outrage. That's because their secular amoral worldview rejects any basis for that moral judgment. Any argument they make against the "immorality" of Trump is stolen, or at least borrowed for expediency, from a religious worldview they have soundly rejected.
The fact of the matter is that Judeo-Christian ethics have been driven from our culture and declared a dinosaur from an ancient past. Right and wrong, virtue, morality, goodness—these have been rejected in pop culture, our education system, the media, and politics. We have been told repeatedly that character doesn't matter because everyone's values are different. All that matters is an ideological agenda and the power that goes with it.
These Republicans Have Disavowed Trump Since Lewd Tape Emerged
It was this mentality that fueled the defense of Bill Clinton in 1998 when the world discovered the truth about his illicit affair with a subordinate, Monica Lewinsky. Clinton, who had been accused repeatedly of abusing even raping women—all defended by his wife, Hillary—lied about sexual relations with a young woman who worked for him in the White House.

Clinton, who had been accused repeatedly of abusing even raping women—all defended by his wife, Hillary—lied about sexual relations with a young woman who worked for him in the White House.
When his despicable behavior was exposed to the point that he couldn't deny it any longer, Clinton spoke to the American people. In August 1998, he gave the following address about his lies, his disgusting sexual behavior, and his mistreatment of a woman who worked as a subordinate.
"As you know, in a deposition in January, I was asked questions about my relationship with Monica Lewinsky. While my answers were legally accurate, I did not volunteer information.
Indeed, I did have a relationship with Miss Lewinsky that was not appropriate. In fact, it was wrong. It constituted a critical lapse in judgment and personal failure on my part for which I am solely and completely responsible. . . . .I misled people, including even my wife. I deeply regret that.

Now, this matter is between me, the two people I love most--my wife and our daughter--and our God. I must put it right, and I am prepared to do whatever it takes to do so.
Nothing is more important to me personally. But it is private, and I intend to reclaim my family life for my family. It's nobody's business but ours."
Now, pay close to what he says next because it directly applies to what is happening with Trump, so much so that he should mimic the former president by using these very words in his own defense:
"Even presidents have private lives. It is time to stop the pursuit of personal destruction and the prying into private lives and get on with our national life.
Our country has been distracted by this matter for too long, and I take my responsibility for my part in all of this. That is all I can do.
Our country has been distracted by this matter for too long, and I take my responsibility for my part in all of this. That is all I can do.
Now is the time -- in fact, it is past time to move on.
We have important work to do -- real opportunities to seize, real problems to solve, real security matters to face.
And so tonight, I ask you to turn away from the spectacle of the past seven months, to repair the fabric of our national discourse, and to return our attention to all the challenges and all the promise of the next American century."
So willing were the media and Democratic politicians to get past the sexual impropriety of the president that they did just what he said. For months and years following, Clinton defenders repeated with defiant fury, "This is a private matter and has nothing to do with the issues at hand. The American people don’t care about Clinton, Lewinsky, a soiled dress, and a cigar."
The vile and lewd sexual exploits of the president and his mistreatment of a young woman who was in a powerless position didn't matter. Not one iota.
Something Brewing? RNC Halts Some 'Victory Project' Work on Behalf of Trump
Coupled with this defense of Clinton was the overall messaging that the moral absolutism of Christianity and any religious types who dared judge another person's actions or character needed to exit the public stage. The only thing that was important was the progressive cultural and political agenda of the Democratic Party.

The only thing that was important was the progressive cultural and political agenda of the Democratic Party.
I would posit that this has not changed. All the same people in the media and political class today who are condemning Trump don't give a wit about what he said on that tape. It's all smoke and mirrors with them. Given the rampant immorality in D.C. and throughout the political media, they're hardly shocked by the businessman's comments.
They don't believe in absolute morality anyway. And even if they do have some semblance of conscience, they don't think it matters what happens in private. All that matters is pushing their liberal agenda. If it takes being hypocritical about Trump, then so be it.
Their moral outrage is as fake as Hillary Clinton's smile during a debate. The real outrage they feel is over any threat to their ideology and their quest for power.
Yet the sanctimonious fools on the right have little-to-no sense to see this or how they're playing into the hands of the left. Republicans have become mere pawns in the Democratic Party's game of political power.
This started years ago when the Republican Party suddenly became enlightened and decided that social and moral issues don't matter. "It's the economy, stupid! Don't talk about the evils of abortion. Don't talk about the Ten Commandments or prayer in schools. Don't talk about the immorality of same-sex marriage or transgendering or even homosexuality. Don't talk about Bill Clinton's sexual abuse or anything that touches on issues of character.”
Their message to the salt-of the-earth types and "hobbits" who believe in right and wrong, principles, and the Bible has been “For God’s sake, just shut up!”
For years, the religious right was attacked and maligned from within the Republican Party. They were accused of being backward, stupid, moralistic boobs. Political elites were ashamed to share the same space with them on the public stage. They just wanted them to go away.
Trump Promises Catholics: 'I Will Defend Your Religious Liberties'
Well, they didn't go away, but they did listen. If morality doesn't matter in politics, then just elect someone who will at least stop the leftist juggernaut (or slow it down) even though he's immoral, unprincipled, egotistical, and not really much of a conservative. And if he damages the GOP political elite in the process and takes a bit of the shine off of their arrogant crowns, so much the better. Voila, Donald Trump.

So now we have a tape that show's Trump is an immoral, nasty guy, speaking as many guys do in their "man-space" (frats, military bases, golf courses, locker rooms). Is it defensible? No. Is it gross? Yes. Is it immoral? Indeed. But for a society that has declared absolute morality dead, what credible response does it have to Trump or anyone else?
It doesn’t have one. All it has is mock outrage that signifies nothing.
Can Democrats (and Republicans) who defended Bill Clinton criticize Trump with any moral authority? No. They have no moral authority. They abandoned it for political gain, and that’s all they’re concerned about today—power, not virtue.
As for all the Republicans—particularly those of the establishment, the political elites—what can they say except that they are reaping what they have sown?
They shunned the religious right and said morality doesn't have a place in politics. All that matters is economics and the sustainability of the Grand Ole Party.
They—the GOP political elites now chiding Trump voters about virtue—made a deal with the Devil long ago to secure political influence and power. By abandoning the moral foundations that would have prevented the rise of Trump, they have no basis on which to even whisper about the immorality of Trump.

doesn’t fit the media’s narrative of a racist
After a man in a gorilla suit wearing an “All Lives Matter” shirt stormed the field during Sunday’s NFL matchup between the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears, multiple sports reporters deemed the man “racist” — that was before cops ripped off his mask. The man, before being tackled by security at Chicago’s Solider Field, ran around the field and made a true spectacle of himself.
The man’s shirt read “All Lives Matter” on the front, while on the back it read, “Put Down the Guns,” possibly in reference to the high number of murders that have happened in Chicago this year.
The man’s shirt read “All Lives Matter” on the front, while on the back it read, “Put Down the Guns,” possibly in reference to the high number of murders that have happened in Chicago this year.
Just as quickly as the man ran onto the field and was tackled by security, sports journalists labeled the man “racist,” presumably for both the gorilla suit and the “All Lives Matter” shirt.
From Breitbart:
Jay Busbee at Yahoo Sports, for instance, wrote that “wearing an ‘All Lives Matter’ shirt over a gorilla costume—well, that’s either breathtaking ignorance or just straight-out, no-question racism.” Corey Collins of Sporting News described the uninvited runner’s display as “juvenile, pretty-racist, attention-seeking behavior.”
However, the man was likely no racist. In fact, the man wearing the suit and controversial shirt was Angelo Graham, 31 of Tennessee — a black man, which doesn’t fit the media’s narrative of a racist.
Graham has since been charged by Chicago police with one felony count of criminal trespass to a place of amusement.
