Did The WHO Just (Accidentally) Confirm COVID Is No More Dangerous Than Flu?

The World Health Organization has finally confirmed what we (and many experts and studies) have been saying for months – the coronavirus is no more deadly or dangerous than seasonal flu.

The WHO’s top brass made this announcement during a special session of the WHO’s 34-member executive board on Monday October 5th, it’s just nobody seemed to really understand it.

In fact, they didn’t seem to completely understand it themselves.

00:16 / 00:32

At the session, Dr Michael Ryan, the WHO’s Head of Emergencies revealed that they believe roughly 10% of the world has been infected with Sars-Cov-2.  This is their “best estimate”, and a huge increase over the number of officially recognised cases (around 35 million).

Dr. Margaret Harris, a WHO spokeswoman, later confirmed the figure, stating it was based on the average results of all the broad seroprevalence studies done around the world.

As much as the WHO were attempting to spin this as a bad thing – Dr Ryan even said it means “the vast majority of the world remains at risk.” – it’s actually good news. And confirms, once more, that the virus is nothing like as deadly as everyone predicted.

The global population is roughly 7.8 billion people, if 10% have been infected that is 780 million cases. The global death toll currently attributed to Sars-Cov-2 infections is 1,061,539. That’s an infection fatality rate of roughly or 0.14%.

Right in line with seasonal flu and the predictions of many experts from all around the world.

0.14% is over 24 times LOWER than the WHO’s “provisional figure” of 3.4% back in March.

This figure was used in the models which were used to justify lockdowns and other draconian policies.

In fact, given the over-reporting of alleged Covid deaths, the IFR is likely even lower than 0.14%, and could show Covid to be much less dangerous than flu.

None of the mainstream press picked up on this. Though many outlets reported Dr Ryan’s words, they all attempted to make it a scary headline and spread more panic.  Apparently neither they, nor the WHO, were capable of doing the simple math that shows us this is good news. And that the Covid sceptics have been right all along.

Black Americans band together and demonstrate against BLM — and what they say could change the narrative

 by Sarah Taylor

A viral video is making the rounds across the internet, featuring black anti-Black Lives Matter protesters in various stages of discussion about the movement, what it means to be black in America, and what "black lives matter" really means as a conceptAt the time of this reporting, the video — published on the Daily Wire's Facebook page — has been shared more than 4,000 times.

What are the details?

The video begins with one man passionately speaking out against the Black Lives Matter movement.

Here are some of his key quotes:

  • "They're full of hate. Nobody listen to them. Don't listen to them. Don't try to understand them. Why? They are full of hate. You don't need it. America don't need it."
  • "In a black neighborhood, black-on-black crime is real. ... White people aren't doing anything to them."
  • "White people voted Barack Obama in for eight years. ... Everything that the blacks could be crying about should have did it on his watch. And they didn't."
  • "I'm black, 52, I'm not oppressed. Ain't nobody oppressing me. America's more free than it's ever been."
  • "Some little young, 19-year-old black person. 'They been through this.' They ain't been through nothing. They're creating it! They're creating a problem that does not exist like they're talking about!"
  • "They don't know who they're mad at. Remember, this started with George Floyd. It went from George Floyd to now, it became the white people. Then it went from the white people, now it's the whole system of America. They don't know what they're mad at. They don't know what they're bothered by. ... Don't get caught up in the hype. It's all wrong."
  • "The only people that's oppressed in this world is people that embrace being oppressed."
  • "If they are so bothered, why don't they leave and go to Africa or to another country? If you're that bothered with America, pack your stuff, hold a crusade, because I think some of us will put money up and help you leave."

The video cuts to another man, who speaks out about his support of the police and what he believes "black lives matter" really means.

Here are some of his key quotes:

  • "I gotta be out here supporting the police. The people that we need. The people that stand in the gap for us when it comes to crime, when it comes to delinquency. ... They're being vilified across the board. It's unacceptable."
  • "They think it's gonna be some type of utopia without the police. It makes no sense. ... We all know when there's a lack of police presence, crime goes up. Lawlessness goes up. Civil unrest goes up. ... To abolish the police is an asinine concept that's gonna do nothing but bring about the destruction of America."
  • "The police are here for our benefit, not for our detriment."
  • "Black Lives Matter has been hijacked by Antifa, by ... first of all, it's not even a legitimate cause. If we're going to talk about Black Lives Matter, let's talk about the abortion rate. The black abortion rate. Talking about more black babies being killed in New York City than birthed. ... Black-on-black crime, [in] all these inner cities. ... If we wanna really talk about black lives mattering, then we gotta be proactive in our approach to stop these black lives from being murdered and killed on the street. Black Lives Matter doesn't really stand for black lives matter — it's all about the narrative, and that's all they're trying to push."

Dear LeBron James,
You don’t speak for me and my boys.
I’m a father of four brown boys. It is my responsibility as a father to protect and serve them. There is no need for police in my home because as the father, I’m the authority in my home.
Police are needed where fathers and law and order are absent. When there is no father to protect and serve children, police have to move into that community to protect and serve.
Where there is no father or authority in the home or neighborhood, young men rebel. This is why police are having a hard time gaining compliance with fatherless boys on the side of the road. They refuse to sit down, be quiet, and comply. Why? Because the police are the first men to tell them NO and assert their authority. These boys have spent years under no ones authority. This is the main problem.
So please don’t speak for me and my boys. Me and my boys are not terrified of the police because we respect the police and accept their authority. That’s because they first had to respect me as their father and accept my authority. Actually one of them wants to be a police officer. You Lebron are trying to destroy that dream by painting police officers in a negative light when most a good guys.
We are terrified of the black men that kill each other in their black neighborhoods everyday. We are afraid of the black men that threaten us and call us cūns and uncle toms for desiring to live a peacefull and successful life. We are aware of the fact that 93% of all black homicides are by black men. (Bureau of Justice Statistics)
If you really want to help fatherless boys like yourself, stop using fear tactics and guilt trips. Help promote legislation like “EQUAL SHARED PARENTING” that helps divorced dads and single dads have more time with their children without paying more child support.
Help get legislation passed to make child support more fair and equal. Fund programs like my former #GoodGuys #GoodGirls Program (killed by ObamaCare) that helped young black youth save sex until marriage, learn their history, learn to respect police, develop work ethic and accomplish their goals.( https://youtu.be/1ZxCe3JXp3M ).
Stop blaming the police and help build better fathers. Stop saying police need more training and train more dads and young black boys on the the rule of law and police protocols.
Remember, there are millions of black and brown boys out here that are not being killed by police. They are alive and doing quite well. How? We obey the law. Comply with police and if the police does something wrong or unethical, they live to fight in court and not the side of the road.
Signed,
Patrick D. Hampton

Glenn Beck issues heartfelt apology to President Trump

by Sarah Taylor

TheBlaze founder and 2020 Radio Hall of Fame inductee Glenn Beck issued a public apology to President Donald Trump for doubting him in 2016.

Beck made the remarks amid the press surrounding the 2020 Republican National Convention.

What are the details?

In a series of tweets, the talk-show host wrote, "I am feeling so humbled this week. I feel truly horrible for the things I said and believed in 2016 about @realDonaldTrump. I believed the worst politically, which he proved me wrong at almost every turn. In the most dramatic cases (life/Israel/China/authoritarian)."

Beck pointed out that the president deserves to be praised for his handling of the economy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to researchers at Johns Hopkins University, the virus has infected at least 5,889,652 Americans at the time of this writing, and has caused 181,186 deaths.

"I expected @realDonaldTrump to take control federally at the first opportunity. Here we are in a massive crisis. Bush 'violated the free market to save the free market.' Trump could have violated federalism to 'save federalism' yet he has stood firm through COVID."

He added that his erroneous belief that the president didn't care about Americans poisoned his temperament toward Trump and perhaps affected the president's children themselves.

"But let me cut to the chase," he continued. "I believed he actually didn't care about people. When @realDonaldTrump called me after my fathers [sic] death, I assigned the motive to politics — AND SAID SO. What haunts me this week is how my words must have hit his children."

Beck, who spoke with Donald Trump Jr. last week, said that he felt compelled to issue an apology to the president's son for his stance in 2016.

"How did I miss, the sharpness of my 'judgement' without consideration of family. Me? A guy who has lived it from his side. I wanted to end my interview with @realDonaldTrump son this week w/ a personal apology, who had spent 20 minutes with me as if we were old friends."

Anything else?

Beck explained that he while he wanted to extend an apology for his previous remarks, he found himself unable to do so at the time.

"I didn't want to embarrass myself in the end and failed to do the right thing again," he admitted. "I don't regret my doubts or expressing my concern in 16, but the fact that I missed his humanity and was blind to his family. I said at the time, 'I hope I am wrong and will ... be the first to admit it.'

"I did," he concluded. "On air and personally to the president himself. But it was all about politics. I knew he loved his children and they him. What I failed to see, is the reason I think they love him. @realDonaldTrump is a loud New Yorker with a private heart."

Candace Owens dismantles George Floyd black martyr narrative: 'Racially motivated police brutality is a myth'

by

Conservative commentator Candace Owens published a livestream video on Wednesday, decrying the movement for trying to turn George Floyd into a martyr for black America.

The death of Floyd, a victim in a Minneapolis, Minnesota, police killing, spurred on nationwide protests following his May death.

What are the details?

Owens in a Facebook Live video said that she refused to buy into the idea that Floyd should be the impetus for a race relations overhaul in the United States.

"I do not support George Floyd and the media depiction of him as a martyr for black America," she insisted.

Pointing out Floyd's troubled legal history — including a time when he reportedly threatened a pregnant woman with a gun during a violent robbery — Owens explained that she's not defending the officer accused of killing Floyd, but simply refuses to accept the martyr narrative.

"You would be hard-pressed to find, you know, a Jewish person that's had five stints in prison that commits a crime and dies while committing a crime and that the Jewish people champion and demand justice for," she said.

Owens added, "I want to be very clear: What I am saying is not any defense for [accused former police officer] Derek Chauvin. I hope Derek Chauvin gets the justice that he deserves to be implemented upon him, and that the family of George Floyd deserves justice for the way that he died."

'Nobody wants to tell the truth in black America'

Floyd's violent criminal history also included convictions on charges varying from theft with a firearm to drugs.

"He has a rap sheet that was long and was dangerous," Owens said. "He was an example of a violent criminal his entire life, OK? Up until the very last moment."

She insisted, "I am not going to accept the narrative that this is the best the black community has to offer. George Floyd was not an amazing person. I am not going to play a part of the broken black culture that always wants to martyr criminals, to pretend that they were upstanding human beings that just wanted to help society."

The conservative commenter also pointed out that the black community should be ashamed of itself for holding Floyd up as an example.

“We are embarrassing in that regard," she added. "This is why we have a cycle and a toxic culture because nobody wants to tell the truth in black America. It is so easy to be effective it is so easy to ask white people to bow down and apologize and do all these things for us. It is crap."

She concluded, "Racially motivated police brutality is a myth."

New York restaurant owner canceled for flying Trump flag

by

A Long Island, New York pizza shop owner is speaking out after he was canceled for flying a Trump flag in the back of his store.

In a Thursday interview on "Varney & Co." with host Stuart Varney, Patio Pizza owner Guy Caligiuri explained that a woman who had come into store last Friday night to pick up an order noticed his flag and "took offense" after one of Caligiuri's employees explained it was his.

The customer then announced that she was the administrator of a Facebook page and would post about the encounter on the social media platform with the intent of driving Patio Pizza out of business.

"I've been in business for 43 years and I've seen a lot," said Caligiuri. "And, I just took it in stride... I just ignored it, basically."

However, a short time later, the restauranteur recalled his phone began to ring with calls about "this woman who had posted nasty things about me online and was asking the [St. James] community to boycott Patio Pizza."

But to Caligiuri's surprise, on the following morning, New Yorkers from all over Long Island came to Patio Pizza, vocalizing their support for his business and for the president.

"They supported our president. They support the flag that I had hanging in the back of my store," he recalled.

Caligiuri pointed out that he also has an American flag hanging in the front of his store.

"I think he's a fantastic president, I think he's done a great job, and I think it's my right to support him and to show my support of him," he stated.

"But, this woman took it upon herself to -- not knowing me, not knowing my family, not knowing my grandchildren... She took it upon herself because she saw a flag in the back to try to put me out of business," he said.

Caligiuri added that he had not only the support of his local community which "rallied behind" him, but he'd received phone calls from around the country.

"It's really wonderful. It's really humbling," he concluded.

Following the interview, President Trump tweeted out his support for Caligiuri and Patio Pizza.

"Support Patio Pizza and its wonderful owner, Guy Caligiuri, in St. James, Long Island (N.Y.). Great Pizza!!!" he wrote.
